This or That

TV or Movies?
Movies. I love long, intricate story lines but can’t commit to a TV series (or the interrupting commercials).
Hot or Cold?
Hot! I don’t like to be cold.
Night owl, or early bird?
Night owl. Sleep is for the weak. And alert.
Print or Ebook?
eBook. I love the idea of thousands of books sitting in the palm of my hand.
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Vanilla. Yum!
Regular or Diet?
Regular. Aspartame is scary stuff.
Coke or Pepsi?
Eh, neither. I’m an iced tea sort of girl.
Horror or Romance?
…Horomance? I like a blend of both.
Action or Drama?
Pizza or Pasta?
Oh that’s not fair. I can’t choose between carbs.
Skittles or M&Ms?
Summer or Winter?
Summer! I might not look great in shorts, but I can’t stand the snow. Brrrrrr.
Harry Potter or Twilight?
Harry Potter. Wizards do it better.
Spontaneity or Planning Ahead?
Planning ahead. I’m a list-freak and have a color coded planner.
Beach or Pool?
Er…neither? I really don’t like water or sand. But I’m weird like that.

Shoes or Sandals?
Shoes. You know, for all that running I never do.
Cats or Dogs?
Cats. All the dogs I’ve ever had can’t just be petted…it has to be an event that involves head butting and rubbing their noses everywhere.
Apples or Oranges?
Oranges are delicious…fun tip: when frozen, oranges make great ice cubes for water.
Facebook or Twitter?
Twitter. I’m an addict. It’s so much fun to connect with people in an instant medium like that.
Truth or Dare?
Dare! I can take it.
Text or Talk?
Text. I despise talking on the phone. It’s probably because I can’t ever get a connection, though.
Introvert or Extrovert?
A very weird combination of both. It depends on how much writing I’ve done lately…I’m much more engaging when I’ve gotten my daily writing done.
That was fun! Thanks for having me.

Lichgates by S.M. Boyce cover

Kara Magari is about to discover a beautiful world full of terrifying things–Ourea.

Kara, a college student still reeling from her mother’s recent death, has no idea the hidden world of Ourea even exists until a freak storm traps her in a sunken library. With no way out, she opens an ancient book of magic called the Grimoire and unwittingly becomes its master, which means Kara now wields the cursed book’s untamed power. Discovered by Ourea’s royalty, she becomes an unwilling pawn in a generations-old conflict–a war intensified by her arrival. In this world of chilling creatures and betrayal, Kara shouldn’t trust anyone… but she’s being hunted and can’t survive on her own. She drops her guard when Braeden, a native soldier with a dark secret, vows to keep her safe. And though she doesn’t know it, her growing attraction to him may just be her undoing.

For twelve years, Braeden Drakonin has lived a lie. The Grimoire is his one chance at redemption, and it lands in his lap when Kara Magari comes into his life. Though he begins to care for this human girl, there is something he wants more. He wants the Grimoire.

Welcome to Ourea, where only the cunning survive.
