I have been aware of this book for many years and even had it on my bookshelf for a number of years. Finally I picked it up, and I enjoyed reading it. The plot and rising action drew me in and made it hard to put the book down at time. But, as I read I felt like something was missing, something that would have made it a great book and not just a good book. I have not been able to put my finger on exactly what it was missing. Perhaps a little more background to establish the characters, to round them out more.?

As I started to read, I thought I might have been mistaken in thinking it was part of the LDS romantic thriller genre.?The fantasy element (some telepathic communication) threw me a bit and at first I didn’t see any LDS elements. Later on in the book I found that the genre was correct, but it just didn’t quite fit what I had expected.?

At the end of the book I was left with some questions, which I assume are answered in the other books in the series.?

 
Rating: 3.5 Stars – Good Book

Content: Clean – some violence and mentions of smoking, recommended for ages 12+

    I have loved this series of books. My daughter and friend got me to read them. Have read them more than once. They all have violence because they are dealing with terrorists.
