First, I want to say how much I loved Ms. Quinn’s writing. ?The flow was so smooth. ?It’s irritating to read a book and find grammar errors or words being misused. ?There was nothing in her writing that was distracting me from the story. ?In my opinion, that’s a rare quality and it made the book very enjoyable.
This was a fun, fast read. ?Although I haven’t yet read the first book I didn’t have any trouble following the story. ?The story captured my interest and I didn’t notice time passing as I read.
In the Mindjacker world most people can read minds but a minority have developed the additional ability to control minds. ?I thought the technology in the book was so interesting. ?Ms. Quinn did a great job imagining how society would work if everyone could read each other’s minds.
Some of the themes in the book reminded me of X-Men. ?The mindjackers (those who control minds) are feared and hated by those without that ability. ?Politicians take advantage of that fear to further their own agendas. ?But it is definitely it’s own story.
Rating: 4.5 Stars – Highly Recommend
