Soul Mates Stranded Oceans Apart
By Rula Sinara
How many of you have such utter, complete faith in love that you believe if two people are destined to be together, love will find a way no matter what hurdles must be overcome? What if those two soul mates have little chance of ever meeting one another because they live on opposite side of the world and neither one has ever set foot in the other’s country? And what if one is a widower—with kids—who is suffering so deeply that his heart is bolted shut forever and the other is a young woman so busy saving lives that she has no room in her life for more? Will love still find a way? Are soul mates so connected on a universal, cosmic level that somehow, every choice they make eventually leads to their meeting, no matter how improbable?
In my latest book, After the Silence, Ben Corallis, a widowed marine in America and Hope Alwanga, a medical intern in Kenya manage to meet despite the ocean between them, but that’s just the beginning of the impossible road ahead of them.
So what do you think? Can anything keep soul mates apart? Can a wounded heart love again after loss? What distances or hurdles did you overcome to be with your soul mate? What’s your love story?

Thank you :). I really loved the cover of The Promise of Rain and was so happy the artists included the elephants that were so significant in the story.
I love novels set in exotic countries
Oh, me too! And I like writing them, of course :).
Both of these books sound wonderful! A search and a wish for true love in a world where love is often mistaken lust. People who have many obstacles to overcome but will be stronger because of that and will truly value love. A refreshing change in today’s R rated world. I have not really had any obstacles to overcome in my marriage so I can’t compare myself to your characters but I can appreciate their struggles.
Thank you so much for the contest!
That’s beautifully said, Betty. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I like how the books include other countries besides the US. It’s fun to read about countries I’ve never been to. And the romances sound sweet.
That’s what I love about reading! I can visit/travel to places I’d otherwise not have the chance to experience. I know it’s not exactly the same thing as traveling in person, but for me it’s still a great (and less expensive lol) way to ‘travel’. It also helps me narrow down my wish list of places I’d like to visit in person some day :).
I think this book is going to be a real winner! thank you for the chance to win.
Thanks! Good luck!
I look forward to reading this book and other books by this author!
Thanks so much :). That’s very kind of you.
Love books Pertaining to babies.
Gloria, I do too! I raised three myself, so the cute, funny and challenging experiences to draw on are endless. I’m taking notes as they continue to get older, just in case I ever need an idea for a book lol.
I love reading books that warm the heart these novels are in that category. Reading these books would make me feel warm and fuzzy . Thank you.
The Harlequin Heartwarming stories are definitely written to do just that…warm the heart :). I hope you enjoy the stories!
Sounds like a wonderful read.
Thanks, Rita!
It sounds like a great story. I really like it when a couple can over come their problems to get together.
Ben and Hope definitely have their obstacles to overcome, but that’s what I personally love about reading (and writing) a love story with a guaranteed happily ever after…I get to experience how they manage to overcome the odds.
It sounds like such a good novel, thanks for hosting the giveaway so I can have a chance to win it!

Sounds like quite the heart wrenching story, you know they are going to have quite the challenges
I have to admit, both The Promise of Rain and After the Silence were heart wrenching to write. But the second book really got to me because one of the secondary characters in book 1 dies in it. I still feel guilty for that!

Love the idea of the soulmate possibly being in another country and having to work through all that entails, especially with a pre-made family.

The books look interesting. My fiance and I met where we used to work and were setup by some friends of ours then. My son’s mom passed away about 5.5 years ago just before his 9th birthday. It was extremely hard for me to get over that and get to a point where I was open to finding someone again. It was even worse for my son since his mom was the whole world to him. We managed to hang on and get through that time and my fiance now has made our lives so much better and given us the love and caring that we were missing.
David, thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m so sorry for your and your son’s loss and am saddened by what you both had to endure. But I’m also happy that you were blessed with a second chance at love and found someone to ‘complete’ your lives. Congratulations on your engagement and best wishes to you all for a wonderful life full of love and happiness.
I have SERIOUSLY been looking for this giveaway! It looks like an awesome one! The books look like something I could really see myself getting into! Thank you!

As you describe your book, it sounds really interesting for me because I love stories about people joined by special circumstances. I have a similar story, so I can feel identified with it. (Sorry if my english is not good!)
